Nobody likes losing. Losing a game, losing a job, an expensive piece of jewerly, money, you get the idea. It can really get you down. Just imagine how Rod Marinelli feels. With his Detroit Lions now 0-9, the whispers of can this team run the table and lose every game is starting to creep in. Cam Cameron of the Dolphins was the one who heard all of this last year and now it's Marinelli's turn.
Losing, just makes you mad, sad, depressed and downright angry. They say you learn from your mistakes, and if that's the case, the Lions should be the smartest team in the league by now because they've learned from their mistakes nine times over. I can't imagine what they must be thinking about in the locker room right now. Actually I can because I remember how frustrated the Dolphins were every week I walked to their locker to talk to them about their upcoming loss...err, I mean game.
Unfortuntaely, at the end of the year, Marinelli will be getting his walking papers. But the Lions will still stink as they usually do and someone else will have to walk into this mess and attempt to clean it up. But here's hoping Marinelli can find at least a win to savor the moment and not be a fulltime loser should the Lions go 0-16.
