It didn't take Miami head coach Randy Shannon long to bring the University of Miami back to respectability. In just his second season Shannon has the Canes already bowl eligible with six victories. There's an opportunity for the team to finish with even more wins and possibly even win the ACC. Give Randy Shannon credit, after Larry Coker was fired following his 7-6 season in 2006. Shannon can recruit in the state of Florida, that's not going to be an issue, but will he be able to pull kids down to Miami from outside of the state? For that matter will he need to considering this state has enough players to get top 10 recruiting classes each and every year.
Shannon will bring this team back to the top 10 in rankings as well sooner rather than later. This is a very young Miami team which right now is just learning how to win and developing its potential. But pretty soon, they will once again be the "U" that everyone down here in South Florida has seen first hand. Just give Shannon some time and pretty soon, the Canes will be back on top.
