When it comes to High School Football, this is the best time of the year. The post-season has begun as we are now two weeks in with six teams remaining. I have no doubt that two of them will definitely get to the Championship games. In 1B Jupiter Christian has a chance to win back to back titles and in 2B Pahokee is once again on the path to winning its fourth straight title.
However, there's still a possibility of others, including Dwyer which is eyeing a 4A Championship as they face their old nemisis Booker T. Washington this coming Friday at home. Booker has always been a thorn in Dwyer's side and have constantly kept the Panthers from advancing. However, I think this may be the year that Dwyer has a chance to move past their rival and advance onto the next round. I give Royal Palm Beach and South Fork plenty of credit however because I didn't think they would still be around after two weeks. Royal Palm, defeated Vero Beach on the road in a very tough environment. South Fork upset Atlantic on the road and now is going to visit South Florida power St. Thomas Aquinas.
So let the last team standing come out and win. It's always fun to see who survives and who goes home early. It's the best time of the year to be a High School Football fan.
